Located in the heart of the vibrant Bondi Beach community at 95 Hall St, Bangkok Bites offers a genuine taste of Thailand in one of Australia's most iconic coastal settings. Our establishment is built on the philosophy that great food should be a bridge between cultures, bringing the bustling, aromatic street food scenes of Bangkok directly to the shores of New South Wales. We believe that the essence of Thai cuisine lies in the delicate balance of four fundamental pillars: sweet, spicy, sour, and salty. By focusing on these core principles, we strive to create a dining experience that feels both familiar to those who have traveled through Southeast Asia and exciting for those discovering these flavors for the first time.
Stepping into our space, guests are greeted by an atmosphere that reflects the relaxed, sun-drenched spirit of Bondi while maintaining the energetic pulse of a traditional Thai eatery. We prioritize the use of fresh, locally sourced produce, ensuring that every dish retains its nutritional integrity and vibrant color. Whether you are stopping by after a morning surf or gathering with friends for a relaxed evening meal, our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where the focus remains entirely on the quality of the ingredients and the authenticity of our preparation methods.
What Defines the Bangkok Bites Experience
Authentic Culinary Techniques: We emphasize traditional cooking methods, including precise wok-tossing and slow-simmering, to ensure that the depth of flavor in our curries and stir-fries is fully developed. Our kitchen team is dedicated to preserving the integrity of classic recipes while adapting them to the high-quality seasonal ingredients available in the local Bondi area.
A Focus on Freshness: We understand that the soul of Thai cooking is found in the freshness of its herbs and aromatics. From fragrant lemongrass and galangal to fresh Thai basil and bird's eye chilies, we source our components with care. This commitment to quality ensures that every plate served at 95 Hall St is bright, aromatic, and deeply satisfying.
Community-Centric Atmosphere: Our location at 95 Hall St is designed to be a neighborhood hub. We take pride in being a part of the Bondi Beach community, offering a space that is inclusive, comfortable, and perfect for casual gatherings. We believe that food is best enjoyed in good company, and our service reflects the warm, hospitable nature that is synonymous with Thai culture.
Balanced Flavor Profiles: Every dish on our menu is crafted to achieve a harmonious balance. We avoid overpowering individual ingredients, instead opting for a layered approach where spices, acidity, and sweetness work in tandem. This attention to detail allows the natural characteristics of our proteins and vegetables to shine, resulting in a clean and memorable dining experience.
Join Us for a Taste of Thailand
At Bangkok Bites, we invite you to slow down and savor the complexity of Thai cuisine. Our team is passionate about sharing the stories behind our dishes and ensuring that every guest feels at home from the moment they walk through our doors. By combining the relaxed coastal lifestyle of Bondi Beach with the rich, bold traditions of Thai street food, we have created a unique destination for food lovers. We look forward to welcoming you to our home on Hall Street, where every meal is an opportunity to explore the vibrant culinary landscape of Thailand. Whether you are a long-time fan of Thai food or a curious newcomer, there is always a seat waiting for you at our table.

Excellent food. Huge menu with so many choices. Some very different foods than a standard Thai restaurant, although they do have all the usual favourites. Pretty noisy, but still worth going there.

I went to Bangkok Bites Bondi Beach for dinner and have to say that for a decent price the food is quite delicious! I enjoyed a nice Pad See Ewe for dinner and it was really nice. Definitely would go back and highly recommend to anyone if they want delicious Thai food for dinner! More

Food was awful. And to make matters worse, they took our order and then took forever to serve us. That would normally be fine! But less than 5 minutes after it actually got served, they told us they were closing and bagged it. They were … More

Bangkok Bites 5/5 (Bondi, Sydney)- Eating at Bangkok bites was such a joy. The last time I went out to eat at a restaurant was many many years ago. For some people, you may say the 6 people line that takes 15 minutes is a disadvantage to the place, though this is not the case. I personally enjoyed lining up being surrounded by people. It was all part of the experience. Would you rather be eating at a unbusy restaurant or a crazy busy one where the experience is popping. The food was reasonably expensive costing around 20 dollars per meal but was worth it for the quantity and quality of it. I ordered something I don't know the name of except that it was in the pick n mix category. The pick n mix menu page was awesome because it had a wide variety of food choices. The food was delicious and tasted so good, I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the tables outside were really cheap and the table cost was a little nasty. Other than that, the experience was awesome and the food was just incredible yet the only thing letting it down was the outside table and table - cloth.

I stumbled across this Thai street food style restaurant and was immediately drawn in by the long line and the lively, buzzing atmosphere. Despite how busy it was, we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The staff were lovely, efficient, attentive, and impressively organized given how packed the place was.
The food came out incredibly fast. I ordered the wing wings, which were light, crispy, and perfectly balanced with just the right ratio of batter to chicken. The BBQ beef salad was packed with flavour, a vibrant mix of aromatics, fresh crunch from the vegetables, and tender beef with a lovely smokiness from the char. I would have liked it a bit spicier, but that’s purely personal preference, I’ll definitely ask for extra chili next time. We also had the drunken noodles with chicken, the noodles were cooked perfectly, well seasoned throughout, and the portion size was generous, no complaints there.
Overall, I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. It’s an easy addition to my weekly dining rotation, and I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes!

This place is WOW. the menu is A LOT so it might be hard to order especially if it's your first time. Ordering is through the app which is pretty organised.
We had the satay chicken
Soft shell crab with papaya salad and sticky rice
And their signature noodles
This place is a 10/10. Nice ambiance. Amazing food. Good price.

My husband and I have had date nights at Bankok Bites since 2017. It is our favourite little spot. Absolutely love their food which we pair with a chilled bottle of Moscato as BYO.

I ordered som tam and grilled chicken, while my friend got khao soi, fish cakes, and one more dish (I can’t remember what it was). The food was quite sweet, honestly, every dish was sweet but the portions were big. The restaurant isn’t far from the beach, so it’s an easy walk. We walked in that day and it wasn’t very busy

Fantastic food, love sitting out on a bustling street corner watching all the beach goers in the sun. Excellent choice to really drink in the bondi life. Can take your own booze too!! (Small corkage fee). Not sure how well the food would travel though so dine in probably better. We went at 6pm and managed to get the last table immediately but it got quite busy.

We went there with a big group of friends and told them that we planned to stay after the food to drink a At first, they were quite happy to accommodate us, but as soon as we inquired about their BYO policy and brought our own drinks, their whole demeanor changed. Then they started pushing us to order fast, and when we asked if we could have the food later so we could drink, they said no.The food was quite beautifully designed and taste great for a Thai food. Not very special, but good enough for restaurant quality. But the most awkward part was when they pushed the bill to us and even though we asked them at the beginning upto when we can stay, they contradicted what they said and believe solely because the drinks were not purchased from them. The food is 9/10, but the customer service is 0/10. I recommend it for take-away, but by no means for dine-in, and we won't be going back.
